Port Colborne seeking feedback on backyard chickens

Physical surveys available at City Hall, Vale Centre and library

The City of Port Colborne wants to hear from residents about whether backyard chickens should be allowed within the urban boundary.

A survey is now open to gather feedback on the benefits, like fresh eggs and local food connections and concerns, including health risks, noise, and odors.

The survey is available online and in print at City Hall, the Vale Health & Wellness Centre, and the Port Colborne Public Library.

Residents have until April 14 to participate.
