Police say Mathew Morris stole an Audi that was later involved in a fatal crash

A man wanted by police in connection to a fatal crash last week in St. Catharines has turned himself in.

38-year-old Mathew Morris was wanted last week after allegedly stealing a vehicle, before that vehicle was involved in a fatal collision less than an hour later at the intersection of Welland Avenue and Ontario Street.

The crash claimed the life of a 31-year-old man from St. Catharines.

Morris has been charged with robbery and failing to stop at the scene of a fatality.
