Fort Erie receives $116,000 grant for new car chargers

Chargers to be installed at Town Hall, Crystal Beach, Crystal Ridge Arena, and Jarvis Street.

The Town of Fort Erie has received a $116,000 grant from Earth Day Canada’s Charged for Change program, supported by Aviva Canada.

The funding will go toward installing four double-headed Level 2 electric vehicle chargers at key locations across the town, including Town Hall, Crystal Beach, Crystal Ridge Arena, and Jarvis Street.

The project supports Fort Erie’s Climate Change Action Plan and its goal of long-term sustainability, including the addition of the town’s first electric by-law vehicle in 2025.
