Niagara Health currently has 75 patient partners for outside feedback
Being involved in healthcare locally doesn't always require a doctorate, degree, or even a diploma.
Patient partners are a vital part to Niagara Health's operations and the way they do things, providing important feedback regularly.
Senior Patient Experience and Engagement Specialist Caroline Campbell says there's a lot of ways for patient partners to get involved.
Campbell says these perspectives help a ton, as it gives them an outside opinion.
Currently, there are around 75 patient partners within Niagara Health.
One of them is Jim Borysko, who says he joined on after being treated for some heart conditions.
Campbell adds that involvement can vary from one patient partner to the next, depending on their desire and schedule.
